Conference Director: Roland Weisbrot

Roland Weisbrot is a recent graduate from the History program at Ambrose University in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. In 2017, he founded a chapter of Students For Liberty (SFL) at Ambrose, focusing on topics such as freedom of expression and freedom of conscience. Under his tenure, the chapter grew to be one of the most successful, at one point making up half of all SFL activity in Canada as well as incorporating approximately 1/8th of Ambrose’s student body. In 2018, Roland was made Students For Liberty’s Regional Director of the Canadian Prairies. Since then his focus has been on planning the upcoming Education and Liberty Conference and networking to make his home a freer place.

Mount Royal Conference: “Education and Liberty”

The Education and Liberty Conference at Mount Royal University on Saturday, October 20th will be asking the question: “What is the role of education in a free society?” Students, parents, educators, and legislators will convene to network and interact with engaging panels, debates, and workshop seminars which will focus on various aspects of the educational experience in the province of Alberta. Come be a part of the conversation and learn how education is the key to a free society.
